How to Import Shoes from China: Sizes, Styles and Shipping

Shoes are one of the most popular categories we bring in. If you want to import shoes from China — for yourself or to resell — sizes and materials are the two things to get right.
Sizes when you import shoes from China
Chinese listings usually use EU sizes (36–45) or foot length in millimetres. The safest method: measure your foot from heel to longest toe in cm and compare it with the seller’s chart. If you are between sizes, choose the larger one, especially for sports shoes.
Choose the right style
- Everyday comfort: Soft-Sole Casual Walking Shoes
- Running and gym: Breathable Mesh Running Shoes
- Work: Anti-Slip Leather Work Shoes
- Fashion: Platform Thick-Sole White Sneakers
Check the details
- Upper material: mesh, knit, PU or leather.
- Sole: rubber soles last longer than foam-only soles.
- Weight: lighter shoes cost less to ship.
Shipping shoes
Shoe boxes are bulky for their weight, so for many pairs sea shipping is usually more economical; for one or two pairs, air is convenient. Read air vs sea shipping.
For resellers
Stock a range of sizes for each design, and start with neutral colours. See starting an online business.

Size runs for sellers
If you resell, order a size run (for example 39 to 44 for men) rather than one size. Middle sizes usually sell fastest, so order a little more of those. Keep a note of which sizes sell out first and adjust the next order.
Packaging
Shoe boxes protect shoes but add volume. Ask us whether the supplier can pack without retail boxes for large orders to save shipping.
FAQ
Do you offer size exchange?
Because shoes are imported on order, exchanges depend on the supplier. Check the size chart carefully and ask us before ordering.
